James Joyce Links

There are Joyce links and then more Joyce links, and most Joyce scholars know and use them.  As the conference approaches we will put together our own list of links so that you can browse the on-line Joyce world on your own.

All roads begin at the IJJF, International James Joyce Foundation, whose center is at Ohio State University but whose periphery is everywhere.   Current President of the IJJF is Anne Fogarty of the James Joyce Research Centre, School of English, Drama and Film, University College Dublin.  A good place to start on-line research on Joyce is with the IJJF's own research links, where you'll find a rich set of criticism, bibliographies, time-lines, and images.

To get a sense of what folks do at Joyce conferences, you should still be able to call up the program to last summer's XXIst International Symposium in Tours, France.

Joyce summer schools worth checking in on include The Annual Trieste Joyce School, directed by John McCourt, and The Dublin James Joyce Summer School, directed by Anne Fogarty.  Many scholars attend both in the same year, especially after the International Symposium.

Among the many scattered and wonderful Joyce links available, be sure to have a look at the Joyceimages site, created by Aida Yared.  It is always under development, and Aida welcomes contributions from other Joyceans.

More to come.  This page created on September 30, 2008.
